Oprah Gail Winfrey was born January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko Mississippi. Her parents names are Vernita lee and Vernon Winfrey. Oprah grew up on a small farm in rural Mississippi she spent her earliest years living with her grandma. When she was two years old Winfreys grandma taught her how too read. At six years of age Oprah moved in with her single mother who was very poor. Her talent started to emerge at the beginning of kindergarten when she wrote her teacher a letter explaining too her why she deserves to move up to first grade, her teacher was so amazed she listened too her and moved her up. After first grade Oprah moved up to 3rd grade and began to read poetry at churches and clubs she was referred as the “Little speaker.” When Winfrey was 9 years old she was raped by her teenage cousin. This is when Oprah began getting abused for several years.
As she began to enter her teenage years Oprah became rebellious and delinquent, her mom tried to institute her but the institution was too full to have her. What her mom didn’t realize is that she was seeking for her attention. At age 15 Winery’s mother sent her to stay with her dad, Vernon Winfrey. Her dad totally turned her life around by telling her she could be more than she was also by believing in her. Oprah decided too participate in school council, drama club, and debate team.
After high school at age 19 Winfrey attended a University. Oprah took a job at a news broad cast being an anchorwoman. She was the youngest person to anchor a real News cast in Nashville. This started her life in the media industry. Oprah didn’t like her spot as a news anchor and only started to like her work when she started working the early morning talk show “People are talking” where she could act like her and talk about her opinions and talk about things that she liked. Her career really began to start after moving to Chicago in 1984 to host AM Chicago an early morning talk show. After a little bit it became the number one talk show a little bit after she started and it was renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show after one year. The Oprah Winfrey Show went on to become one of the best and highest spotted T.V talk show in history. The program is watched by more then 20 million people Today Oprah Winfrey Is one of the richest ladies in the world. She’s on the Forbes magazine Rich List each year. She still inspires people everywhere with her attitude of overcoming difficult times to be successful the right way.
FIRST INFLUENCE

Oprah TV talk show has influenced the world in many ways by showing them how she was grew up in such poverty, but still made it through all the tough times even when it was hard. The show inspires woman and young girls to try for every goal that the have and never to give up. One big thing that her production shows is black history and why it’s so important to learn about history. The show gossips about crimes that have happened around the world. Over all I think the talk show changes peoples lives and the world would be filled with more poverty and crime without it.

SECOND INFLUENCE

Others are very important to Oprah and so is education that’s why Winfrey opened a school in Africa for young girls that can’t make it to school. This school inspires the girls not to give up. It gives them another chance at there education. Oprah tells the girls how if they have education they can peruse everything in life. I think this is one of the best plans Oprah has made because it helps girls that all they want is there education and by Oprah doing this they can succeed that dream that they might not have made if she wouldn’t have done this for them.
